Well, that's a surprisingly nice nose, actually. Dark berries, plums, dates and a hint of peat! Yes, this is of a completely different caliber than what often appears today in (whether or not) Japanese blends. It's beautiful!

Pours a clean white-gold hue with a decent head of foam. Slightly sweet and crisp in the nose. Taste is clean, crisp and kind of bitter toward the back. Finishes dry but in a pleasing way. Well worth a try. The store clerk thought I was an idiot for buying it. I have always been interested in things new to me.
Ricardo
A superb whisky which, whilst not quite matching the old school bottlings to be had in the 80’s and 90’s, continues a fine tradition of sherry cask maturation from one of the greatest distilleries fed by the River Spey.
